In the morning, start a tour of the town with a visit to Doddabetta Peak. Situated at an altitude of about 2634 metres, it is the fourth highest peak in South India. Here, TTDC (Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation) runs the Telescope House from where you can enjoy splendid views of the valley below
After that, drive to Coonoor and visit Sim’s Park. Spread over 12 hectares ofland, it is a park-cum-botanical garden, which has landscaped lawns, colourful flower beds and unusual species of plants. Some of the most prominent plants here are Rudraksha, magnolia, ferns and pine. Then, move to Dolphin’s Nose, which is 1000 feet above sea level and offers breathtaking views of Catherine Falls. Being at such a height and surrounded by greenery, the air here is cool and pure. In the afternoon, visit another popular attraction of Ooty – Government Botanical Garden. Spread across an area of around 22 hectares, it lies on the slopes of Doddabetta Peak. Every year, Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation organises a flower show in the month of May, which attracts a large number of tourists from all over the world. Later on, move to Ooty Lake, a well-known tourist spot in the hill station. This artificial pond offers boating facilities to tourists, and it also has a garden, mini train and an amusement park on its banks. In the evening, return to the hotel for a comfortable overnight stay.
